I specialize in helping adults who want to heal their relationship to eating, body image and self-worth on a deeper level—if you have been stuck in the “fix-my-body” loop for most of your life, I’m for you. Since 2009, I have worked with highly intelligent individuals with disordered eating including as binge eating disorder, bulimia, and anorexia using an individualized, one-to-one outpatient treatment modality called enhanced cognitive therapy (CBT-E).
After an initial assessment appointment for individuals who are not significantly underweight, CBT-E typically consists of 20 sessions over the course of 20 weeks. For those who are underweight, CBT-E often consists of 40 sessions over the course of 40 weeks.
CBT-E is the leading evidenced-based treatment for adults with all forms of disordered eating. It was developed by Professor Christopher Fairburn and can be read about in depth here.
I always work from a Health At Every Size® (HAES®) perspective, meaning I work with people of all sizes to find compassionate ways to nourish, respect, and accept your unique body. You can learn more about HAES® here.
